FREAKLORE: The Legend of the Sneaky Freaks
The Sneaky Freaks Legend has many, many chapters, but only some have been properly verified - and most have been Classified TOP SECRET.
Snippets of FreakLore - or SneakLeaks, as they're called in the Freakiverse - have, however, been leaked over the centuries. This is thanks to the dedication and smarts of some very brave and determined kids. The most famous SneakLeak of all, of course, is The Great Sneaky Freaks Leak of 1855, but there have been many more.
Each month here at Sneaky Freaks HQ, we will share a Top Secret SneakLeak with our Freak Fans. Or you can sign up to our monthly FREAK NEWS newsletter and find it in there, along with a whole lot of other Freaky stuff.
But right here, right now is the first - the very first - SneakLeak ever published! Exclusively for our very first Sneaky Freaks Fans. Because you're the greatest. Never forget it.

🚞 The Railway Tunnel Papers SneakLeak (England, 1872)
Way back in October 1872, a group of railway workers blasted through a new railway tunnel in northern England. To their amazement, they uncovered a small hidden chamber lined with tiny, strange graffiti markings - half-words, half-symbols - smeared in weird slime.
When informed of this extraordinary discovery, company officials publicly declared it as "absurd gibberish", blamed it on "workers’ fatigue" and immediately sealed the little chamber forever.
BUT... what they didn't know... a few children had managed to sneak in before the chamber was sealed! These clever kids quickly copied the markings and then passed them along to a handful of trusted pals as secret notes.
Those scribbles? -> The earliest known written SneakSpeak.
The Sneaky Freaks Legend was born!
